Video: Syrian forces officially enter Palmyra

A huge convoy of the Syrian Army’s military vehicles and tanks have entered the liberated ancient city of Palmyra after ousting Islamic State militants earlier today.

Weeks after fierce battles with the ultraconservative group, the government troops, aided by Russian airstrikes, finally managed to liberate the UN world heritage site for the second time since last March.

The Syrian Army’s media wing published video footage showing a military convoy on the road to Palmyra after ISIS jihadists were forced to retreat.
