New leadership in Syria increased security measures surrounding the Iranian embassy

Reliable sources indicate that the newly established authorities in Syria have implemented stringent security protocols to safeguard the Iranian embassy along with its associated facilities located in Damascus and various other urban areas across the country.
According to reports from Baghdad al-Youm referencing Syrian sources, the recently established administration under the leadership of Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) has initiated the enforcement of security measures surrounding the Iranian embassy in Damascus.
Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) militants have secured the perimeter and sealed the primary entrances of the embassy in an apparent move to ease tensions with Tehran, a crucial supporter of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
Authorities are taking measures to ensure that no one approaches the embassy or vandalizes it with anti-Iran graffiti.
On December 8, a rapid and decisive offensive spearheaded by the armed faction Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS) culminated in the overthrow of the Assad government. The campaign, which originated from their stronghold in northwestern Syria, swiftly progressed and reached the Syrian capital, Damascus, in under two weeks.
