New Lebanese Envoy Asks for Iran’s Continued Support for Lebanon

Lebanon’s new Ambassador to Tehran Fadi Haj Ali in a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi underlined the importance of Iran’s continued support for his country.

During the meeting in Tehran on Saturday, Haj Ali thanked Iran for supporting his country, and asked for continuation of such support.

He said he would do all within his power further expand bilateral ties in various economic and commercial spheres.

Salehi, for his part, said Iran’s good relations with all Lebanese political factions and ethnic groups and its principled policies to support resistance are all within the same frameworks.

He said the Islamic Republic of Iran and Lebanon enjoy immense capacities for further expansion of ties, especially in the economic, commercial, cultural and scientific domains.

Iran and Lebanon enjoy cordial relations and have further expanded these ties in recent years.

The two sides have exchanged several delegations of high-ranking officials in the last three years.
