Ceremony to mark anti-arrogance day starts

Ceremony to mark November 4 which is designated as the ‘Day to Fight World Arroance’ started here on Thursday on streets around the former US Embassy now called ‘Den of Spionage’.

People from different walks of life including students, teachers and instructors as well as political figures are present at the event.

Streets leading to the former US embassy in Tehran are loaded with students who are carrying placards reading ‘Death to the US’, ‘Death to Israel’ and ‘November 4, Day of God’. They are also chanting slogans indicating their hatred towards the world arrogance.

On Aban 13, 1358 (Nov, 4, 1979), Iranian students occupied the US Den of Spionage in Tehran in protest to the US interference in Iran’s affairs and its support of counter-Revolutionary elements.
