Nusra terrorists transfer rockets with toxic warheads to Syria’s Idlib, Hama for chemical attack plots: SANA

The Jabhat Fateh al-Sham Takfiri terrorist group, formerly known as al-Nusra Front, has reportedly transferred a shipment of rockets with toxic warheads to Syria’s provinces of Idlib and Hama in what is expected to be a plot for another false-flag chemical attack to implicate the government in Damascus.

Citing local sources in Idlib, the state-run SANA news agency reported on Saturday that the terrorist outfit together with foreign experts had delivered rockets with a payload of gas to frontline areas in the southern countryside of Idlib and Hama.

The sources told SANA that the Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists made modifications to locally-made rockets and loaded the warheads with chlorine and sarin gas, with the help of French and Belgian experts and a Moroccan national.

The report said the modification process took nearly two weeks to be completed, adding that eight rockets were transported in two ambulances for the “White Helmets” organization in the Zawiya Mountain area and Jisr al-Shughur town in the south of Idlib as well as al-Ghab Plain area in Hama countryside.

“The rockets would likely to be used by the terrorist organizations to accuse the Syrian Arab army with using the internationally prohibited weapons,” the sources underlined.

Syria has been gripped by foreign-backed militancy since March 2011. Damascus says the Western governments and their regional allies are aiding the terrorist groups wreaking havoc in the Arab country.

The White Helmets group, which claims to be a humanitarian NGO, is known for its coordination with terror outfits in Syria to carry out staged chemical attacks in order to falsely incriminate Syrian government forces and fabricate pretexts for military strikes by a US-led military coalition present in Syria since 2014.

On April 14, 2018, the US, Britain, and France carried out a string of airstrikes against Syria over a suspected chemical weapons attack on the city of Douma, located about 10 kilometers northeast of the capital Damascus.

That alleged attack was reported by the White Helmets, which published videos showing them purportedly treating survivors. Washington and its allies blamed Damascus for the Douma attack, an allegation strongly rejected by the Syrian government.

The western governments and media have repeatedly accused the Syrian government of using chemical weapons against its own citizens in the war against the terrorists.

This is while Syria surrendered its stockpile of chemical weapons in 2014 to a joint mission led by the United States and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), which oversaw the destruction of the weaponry. It has also consistently denied using chemical weapons.
