Omani, Kuwaiti and Jordanian parliament speakers in separate phone calls with their Iranian counterpart discussed the latest developments in the region and strongly deplored the Zionist regime’s recent aggression on Syria.

Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani, in three separate phone calls, held talks with his counterparts from Oman, Kuwait and Jordan on Tuesday.

Oman’s Parliament Speaker Sheikh al-Maawali, by underlining his country’s stance in condemnation of recent air raid of the Zionist regime against Syria, said that the Zionist invasion is very ominous and shameful and in direction of aggressive policies of the regime against Arab and Islamic countries.

In his phone conversation with the Iranian speaker, Kuwaiti Parliament Speaker Ali Fahd al-Rashid condemned the aerial invasion of the Zionist regime and said that Kuwait strongly condemned the invasion and called for a decisive action against such an aggressive move of the Zionist regime.

Jordanian Parliament Speaker al-Umma Taher al-Masri also condemned the attack and said that the sole way to settle Syrian problem is negotiation and peaceful manners.

The Syrian Army said in a statement on last Wednesday that two people were killed and five others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a scientific center in Jamraya, 25 kilometers (15 miles) Northwest of the capital Damascus.

Syria protested to the United Nations over the Israeli raid, saying it considered it a violation of a military disengagement accord following their last major war in 1973.

Its ambassador to Lebanon also warned that Syria could decide on a “surprise” response to the attack.

Israel’s Defense Minister Ehud Barak implied Israel was behind the raid.

That attack has not prompted military retaliation yet.
