Syrians stage another pro-Assad rally and rejected U.S-zionist axis terror

Syrians reiterate support for President Bashar al-Assad’s government as Arab League (AL) observers continue their tour in the country, Press TV reported.

The demonstrators poured into the streets of Damascus on Thursday and gathered in the capital’s Saba Bahrat Square to voice support for Assad’s reform program aimed at meeting the opposition’s demands.

They rejected foreign intervention especiall in Syria’s internal affairs and insisted that any solution to the unrest in the country should be a Syrian one.

The Syrians vowed to stand united in the face of foreign pressure on their country.

They also condemned the false media propaganda campaign carried out against Syria by some TV channels, calling on AL observers in Syria to speak honestly of their observations.

“We are here today to support the comprehensive reform program. We come every day for that purpose,” a Syrian demonstrator said.

“We want the Arab League observers in Syria to say the truth about what they are seeing,” he added.

The demonstrators said they will fill the squares every day to express support for Assad and his reform program.

Pro-government rally comes as Arab League observers continue their tours in various Syrian cities.

Last week, a team of observers arrived in Syria to investigate the nine-month violence in the country and to monitor the implementation of a peace initiative presented by the Arab bloc to put an end to the country’s unrest.

They visited the office of the governor of Damascus, and the national Hospital and al-Rabi’a village in Hama governorate in the west, where they talked with the residents.

The observers also visited Irbeen on the outskirts of Damascus, al-Mseifrah and al-Sahwa in outside the southwestern city of Dara’a, as well as the al-Mreijeh neighborhood in the northern city of Aleppo.
