Only 24% of French electorate truly chose Macron

France’s Emmanuel Macron has won his presidential election, but protests against his policies have already begun. Analysts say that Macron essentially became president by default, and that his sizeable second round victory doesn’t tell the true story of an extremly divided French electorate.
