Over 40,000 cochlear implantations in Iran

More than 4,000 people in Iran have undergone cochlear implantation, thus getting their hearing sense fully recovered.

The Iranian Association of Audiology (IAA) quoted Head of the Second Seminar on Cochlear Implantation and Hearing Aid (June 13-14), Hessameddin Emam Jome, as saying that Iranian audiologists have been successful in acquiring the latest scientici know-how in the field.

Using latest technology and audiology instruments and devices, the specialists have gained international fame, he added.
