Two day long ceasefire announced in southern Damascus district

A two day long ceasefire had been established between the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and so-called Islamic State (ISIS) in the Al-Qadam District this week, a military source told Al-Masdar News.
According to the military source, the ceasefire was implemented after the Islamic State seized a large part of the Al-Qadam District from the Syrian Army.
In response to the Islamic State’s big advance, the Syrian Army unleashed a large number of missiles and artillery shells towards the eastern neighborhoods controlled by the terrorist group.
The ceasefire is expected to conclude at noon on Wednesday.
