Syrian Citizens Flock to Saba’ Bahrat Square in Damascus, Express Rejection of Foreign Interference

Huge crowds of citizens on Friday streamed into Saba Bahrat Square in Damascus to express rejection of foreign interference in the Syrian internal affairs and support to the comprehensive reform program led by President Bashar al-Assad.

The participants emphasized adherence to the national unity for facing the conspiracy to which Syria is exposed to undermine its security and stability.

Chanting national slogans, the crowds emphasized that the Syrian people, through consciousness and love for their homeland, are capable to thwart the plot hatched against it with the aim of affecting its resistant position which rejects the policy of hegemony and defends the Arab nation’s interests.

They said the vicious attack on Syria was planned by U.S. imperialism since decades to implement its its greedy policies in the Middle East through seizing its resources and enslaving their people, denouncing the calls for armament announced by some Arab regimes, the partners in shedding of the Syrian blood.

The participants highly appreciated the Syrian army, affirming that the pure blood sacrificed by them will strengthen the national unity and fortify the country.

They noted that the economic sanctions imposed on Syria will not deter her from defending the legitimate Arab rights, on top of which is the Palestinian issue, exercising its pivotal role in the region and going ahead in the reform process.

The crowds condemned the criminal operations and sabotage acts committed by the armed terrorist groups.
