Palestinian Casualties Escalate by 47 Amid Ongoing Gaza Conflict
The ongoing conflict in the Gaza Strip has resulted in the deaths of at least 47 more Palestinians over the course of two days, as reported by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.

The increase reported on Saturday signifies yet another somber milestone in the ongoing conflict since October 2023, affecting the heavily devastated, besieged, and impoverished coastal region.
The ministry has reported that the death toll has reached seven, with their bodies recovered from the debris. Additionally, 275 individuals have sustained injuries, many of them critically, over the span of the two-day incident.
Earlier, the ministry had reported a death toll of 30.
Medical teams continue to face challenges as a considerable number of victims are still trapped beneath the debris, hindered by the relentless intensity of Israeli airstrikes, according to a statement released on Saturday.
In January, a ceasefire agreement was reached between Israel and the Hamas faction in Gaza. Prior to the accord, the conflict had resulted in the deaths of at least 50,099 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, and left 111,675 others injured.
The regime consistently violated the agreement and escalated the genocide with increased intensity starting on March 18. As reported by the ministry, the death toll has subsequently risen by 2,396, while the count of the injured has increased by 6,325.
The statement emphasized the likelihood of these figures increasing, as numerous individuals remain unaccounted for or are unable to access urgent medical assistance.
The ministry reiterated its concerns over the deteriorating situation caused by Tel Aviv’s intensifying blockade of Gaza, which has reached unbearable levels since the start of the conflict.
In recent months, the territory’s crossings have been completely shut down by the regime, significantly worsening the plight of its more than two million residents. According to the Gaza government media office, the siege has resulted in the deaths of at least 57 individuals.
The blockade effectively halts the influx of essential nutritional supplements, baby formula, and medications critical for individuals managing chronic health conditions.
