The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Khamenei Attends Ashoura Ceremonies

The mourning ceremonies marking the martyrdom of the third Imam Hussein (pbuh) were held at Imam Khomeini Husseiniya in Tehran at the presence of The Leader of Islamic Ummah and Oppressed People Imam Seyyed Ali Khamenei.

Several Iranian senior officials and thousands of people from different walks of life attended the ceremonies held on the occasion of Ashoura, the 10th day of the month of Muharram on Sunday.

Throughout Iran, millions of people mourned the Ashoura all across Iran. Mourners dressed in black took to the streets and also gathered in mosques to grieve the martyrdom of Imam Hussein.
