Death Penalty for “Israeli” Agents Responsible of Martyr Awali’s Assassination

lvl220130103123717Lebanon’s military investigative judge, Imad Zein, called Thursday for the death penalty against four Lebanese “Israeli” agents and another Egyptian in the case of the 2004 assassination of Islamic Resistance Martyr, Leader Ghalib Awali.

The Judge issued the indictment accusing four Lebanese and an Egyptian in the assassination Awali, who was martyed in a car bomb near his apartment building in Beirut’s southern suburbs.
Two other Lebanese involved in the crime are fugitives. Zein issued arrest warrants against the suspects and referred them to the permanent military court for trial.

In details, the Lebanese and the Egyptian nationals were also accused of carrying out “terrorist acts,” collaborating with the Zionist entity and attempted assassination.
Moreover, the Egyptian was the janitor at the building where Awali resided and monitored the movement of the martyr prior to the bombing in July of 2004.

The Lebanese, who were arrested for their involvement in the martyrdom, have confessed to collaborating with “Israel’s” Mossad.
Their case was referred to the Military Tribunal.
Days after the assassination, the secretary general of Hizbullah His Eminence Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah has accused the Zionist entity of being behind the assassination of the resistance leader.

He further vowed to cut off the hands of martyr Awali’s killers.
