British Anti-War Activists Stage Rally Outside US Embassy in London

A large number of anti-war campaigners in Britain staged a massive rally outside the US embassy in London to voice their anger at the US and its allies’ warmongering policies in different part of the world, specially threats and sanctions against Iran.

Protesters also showed their solidarity with protests in Chicago against the policies of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO).

Expressing their opposition to any tough action against Iran, the demonstrators urged their government to withdraw forces from Afghanistan and stop posing the threat of intervention in other countries like Syria.

They shouted slogans such as; ” Freedom and justice for all,” ” Stop killing civilians,” ” Withdraw military forces from Afghanistan,” Close military US bases in Britain,” and ” We are opposed to the UK participation in the NATO.

Protesters were carrying placards that read: Do not attack Iran, End Afghanistan occupation, Leave Syria alone, Global peace-Global justice, Close Guantanamo, Increase welfare budget instead of military budget, Blood for oil is enough.

A number of political figures and leaders of anti-war and peace-loving bodies delivered speeches in the gathering.
