Israel threats against Iran psywar

The Iranian defense minister says Israel’s threats of a military attack on Iran are only aimed at diverting public attention from Israeli atrocities in Palestine.

Speaking to al-Alam TV network on Wednesday, Ahmad Vahidi said Israel was “entangled with internal problems,” stressing that Tel Aviv does not have the capability to attack Iran.

“These threats are aimed at diverting public attention and defuse international pressure on the regime,” Fars News Agency quoted as saying in his interview.

International condemnation of the regime came when it attacked a Gaza-bound aid convoy in May, killing at least nine international activists aboard the convoy.

Israel also continues to hold the Gaza Strip under a crippling siege in defiance of international calls for the siege to be lifted.

Vahidi said the public opinion not only in Muslim countries but all the world is against Israel over its “recent shameful acts,” adding that Tel Aviv seeks to divert the international attention “by carrying psychological operations.”

Israel has repeatedly threatened to attack Iran’s nuclear facilities.

Iran has ruled out the possibility of an Israeli attack on Iran, but has stressed that any act of aggression against the country will be met with a crushing response.
