Pezeshkian: Iran prepared to deliver a ‘more crushing’ response should ‘israel’ make even the ‘slightest’ misstep
In a recent statement, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian asserted that Tehran is prepared to deliver a "stronger and more decisive" retaliation should Israel make even the "slightest" misstep.

During his two-day visit to Qatar, Pezeshkian issued a statement on Wednesday during a meeting with a senior delegation from the Palestinian resistance group, Hamas. This meeting followed closely on the heels of the Islamic Republic’s recent military response against Israel, known as Operation True Promise II.
He accused Western nations of making hollow commitments, stating that they urged Iran to practice restraint and hold back from retaliating to the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of Hamas’ political bureau, in Tehran last July. In return, they offered the prospect of a ceasefire in Gaza and a halt to the genocide against its population.
He stated that the persistent actions of the Zionist regime have compelled the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran to issue a firm response.
The President of Iran has strongly criticized the actions taken by Israel in Gaza and Lebanon, denouncing them as atrocities. He also directed sharp criticism towards the United States and Western nations, accusing them of adopting hypocritical stances. According to the Iranian leader, these countries support Israel while simultaneously professing to champion democracy and human rights.
He stated that despite consistently advocating for human rights and human dignity, these nations have demonstrated a disconnect from those principles by backing what he referred to as the “criminal Israeli regime.”
Pezeshkian asserted that, in the eyes of the authorities, the lives of individuals, particularly women and children, hold no significance, labeling their assertions as deceitful.
Additionally, the Iranian president emphasized the importance of strengthening solidarity among Muslim countries, arguing that the absence of such unity has encouraged the Israeli government to perpetrate further offenses against the marginalized populations of Palestine and Lebanon.
He observed that the current developments in the region stem from a lack of cohesion among Muslim nations. He stated, “Had there been unity among Muslims, the Zionist regime would not have had the audacity to commit such acts.”
On Tuesday, Iran launched a series of missile strikes targeting Israeli military and intelligence installations, along with espionage bases, in a retaliatory action. The attack triggered warning sirens throughout the Israeli-occupied Palestinian territories.
In a series of escalating tensions, flares and missiles were observed in the skies above Tel Aviv, with explosions audible in the occupied al-Quds. Reports indicate direct impacts in various regions, including Negev and Sharon.
The operation was launched in response to the regime’s targeted killings of Ismail Haniyeh, Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, and Brigadier General Abbas Nilforushan, the Deputy Commander for Operations of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).
Among the Palestinian officials in attendance at the meeting was Khaled Meshaal, a former leader of Hamas now heading the group’s diaspora office. Meshaal praised the recent actions by the Iranian Armed Forces against Israel, describing them as a significant accomplishment that revitalized the resistance front’s deterrent capabilities.
He stated that the sacrifice of the martyred leaders and commanders from the resistance front will ultimately pave the way for the Palestinian people’s decisive victory.
He highlighted the necessity for coordinated efforts and backing for the Palestinian resistance, asserting that such actions would bring a conclusion to Israel’s harsh conflict in the Gaza Strip.
