Security sources in Anbar announced that at least 40 ISIL militants were killed and wounded in an Iraqi aerial bombing on parts of the province.

“The Iraqi warplanes bombed seven ISIL vehicles carrying fighters and weapons in al-Malahma area and Tel Mshahydh East of Ramadi, resulting in the killing of 20 militants and the injury of 20 others, as well as destroying the vehicles,” the sources said.

Earlier this month, security sources disclosed that a large number of ISIL Takfiri terrorists were killed and several more were wounded in the artillery attack of the Iraqi army on the terrorists’ positions in the Eastern parts of the city of Ramadi.

“The artillery shelling of the Iraqi army in Eastern Ramadi killed at least 17 ISIL militants,” Iraqi security sources said at the time.

He said that the artillery unit of the Iraqi Army’s Eighth Brigade pounded the terrorists’ positions in Khalidiya Island located 23 kilometers to the East of Ramadi.
