Syrian Army retakes Saqba in battle for East Ghouta

Units from the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) regained control of Saqba, as the battle for Eastern Ghouta continues on Tuesday.

Drone footage from Saqba shows the effects of war on the district.

Fighting has now moved on to Hazeh, where smoke can be rising in the distance.

Eastern Ghouta has been under control of opposition forces since 2012.

Its recapture would represent a major victory for the Syrian Government.
