Iran FM asserts that a response to Israeli aggression is both unavoidable and conclusive

Iran's Foreign Minister has asserted that retaliation for the latest acts of aggression by Israel is both unavoidable and certain. However, he indicated that the timing and approach of this response will be contingent upon circumstances deemed appropriate.

In an interview with Lebanon’s Al-Mayadeen channel on Thursday, Abbas Araghchi announced that “Operation True Promise III is set to continue as promised.”

A spokesperson stated that Israel has attempted to incite Iran and draw the nation into a broader regional conflict. However, Iran has strategically chosen a prudent course, steering clear of escalating tensions.

He stated that Iran’s retaliatory measures against Israel will be executed with precise timing, ensuring neither delay nor acceleration in their response.

He stated that the Islamic Republic’s response would be timely and conducted in adherence to international law, ensuring it is neither expedited nor postponed.

Araghchi issued a stern warning to Israel, cautioning against any potential attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities. He emphasized that any such action would be met with a proportional response from Tehran.

He refuted claims regarding the susceptibility of Iran’s nuclear sites, highlighting the robustness of the nation’s air defense systems. He also issued a warning to Israel against launching any attacks.

The Iranian Foreign Minister highlighted an increasing agreement among countries in the region to address the actions taken by Israel.

Araghchi emphasized that the continuing conflict in Gaza, along with Israel’s broader strategies, has the potential to destabilize the region extensively.

He stated that the area is currently navigating unusual conditions amid continuous hostilities from the Zionist entity, cautioning that the conflict might escalate and impact all nations within the region.

He declared with confidence that the Resistance is poised to triumph in its ongoing conflict with Israel.

Araghchi stated that Israel is increasingly being viewed as an outcast, as countries in the region are starting to recognize the error in normalizing diplomatic relations with the nation.

“This entity has been ostracized, and nations within the region are starting to recognize the error in reestablishing diplomatic ties with it,” he stated.

He explained that following the execution of the True Promise II operation by the Islamic Republic of Iran, a sense of solidarity has emerged. He believes that nations within the region have become increasingly aware and vigilant regarding alleged Zionist actions.

He alleged that Western countries, especially the United States, have facilitated Israel’s aggressive actions by providing implicit approval for its activities, which he claimed include genocide in Gaza and military operations in Lebanon.

“Throughout the 13-month conflict in Gaza and following Israeli military actions in Lebanon, there have been persistent allegations of breaches of international laws, treaties, and humanitarian principles by the Israeli entity,” stated Araghchi.

On October 7, 2023, Israel initiated a significant military offensive in Gaza following a historic operation by the Hamas group. This operation was described as a response to what Hamas sees as increased aggressions by Israel against Palestinians.

According to the Gaza Health Ministry, Israeli actions have resulted in the deaths of over 44,000 Palestinians, predominantly women and children, with injuries reported to exceed 104,000 individuals.

Israel is currently involved in a legal case brought by South Africa at the International Court of Justice, wherein allegations of genocide are being examined.
