DSC_0257The Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky delivered lecture during a Maulid lecture organised by the Resource Forum of the Islamic Movement, at Conference Hall of National Mosque Abuja on Saturday the 25th of January 2014.
The Programme was well attended. In his inspiring lecture Sheikh Zakzaky described Maulid period as period of reflection in which the Ummah looks to see to what extent its in line with Message of Islam brought by the holy prophet(SAWA).
He also described the Jahilliyyah period, a period before the advent of Islam in which the Arabian Society was in darkness of ignorance full of wars and killings. The Prophet changed them into the best of societies. He further said the message brought by the Prophet opened the gates of knowledge, human development and civilisation to whole world.

In another part of his lecture, he lamented how the enemies of Islam turn the religion which brought civilization to the world into terrorism adding that all the bomb blast and killings are done by the enemies of Islam to dent it and to achieve their agenda.
He added that Islam cannot be established by force and killings as it was the case with other arrogant nations which were established though injustice means.
Prior to his lecture, the chief imam of Abuja National Mosque spoke on the importance of Maulid celebrations as through such gatherings the love of the Prophet is planted in the hearts of people. He called on the opponents of the Maulid to think twice.
Also the Chief Imam of Doula Mosque in Cameroun delivered short speech where he described the importance of the unity of the Ummah. He said what he saw during the recently concluded unity week progrrame shows that Islam will surely return.
