IRIB to put distance education channel on air

The head of Distance and Open Learning at Iran’s Ministry of Education says negotiations are underway to launch a distance education channel.

Ehsan Taghizadeh says the new channel will be a serious attempt to provide a variety of programs and new formats, characterized by rapidly-changing meaningful content.

The channel can make it easier for students to discover and develop their true potential as distance and open learning can be an inspiring, challenging and ultimately rewarding experience, Taghizadeh pointed out.

The channel could provide the flexibility and the top-notch lecturers students seek and also allow them to explore the syllabus.
