Political bureau member of Hamas Dr. Mousa Abu Marzouk has denied rumors that members of the Qassam Brigades, the armed wing of Hamas, were present in Raba El-Adawia square in Cairo.
Abu Marzouk said on his Facebook page on Saturday that no Qassam or Hamas members or any Palestinian were present in any of Cairo’s squares.
He said that news published by Al-Youm Al-Sabe and other Egyptian papers and websites that Hamas ordered its cadres of the Qassam Brigades to withdraw from Raba El-Adawia were sheer lies and absolutely not true.
The Hamas leader affirmed that all Palestinians, with their various affiliations, did not interfere in Egyptian internal affairs.
