President Assad attends prayer in observance of Prophet Muhammad’s birthday

The Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad was seen attending a prayer service in Damascus, Wednesday, making a rare public appearance in Damascus.

Assad arrived at the Al-Akram Mosque in the Mezzeh District this evening and was joined by several officials and religious figures, including the Grand Mufti Ahmad Badreddine Hassoun.

The Syrian President was attending the Mawlid prayer service, which commemorates the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
