President: Iranian nation should demonstrate its unity to the world on Intl. Quds Day

President Masoud Pezeshkian has urged the people of Iran to showcase their unity and solidarity on the forthcoming International Quds Day. He highlighted that a strong turnout would reaffirm the Islamic Republic's steadfast commitment to the Palestinian cause.

During the inaugural Cabinet meeting of the new Iranian calendar year on Wednesday, the chief executive expressed optimism that the strong turnout of citizens will lead to a resplendent Quds Day. The leader emphasized that this occasion would serve as a platform for the global demonstration of the people’s unity and solidarity.

The International Quds Day, instituted by the late Imam Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, takes place every year on the final Friday of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.

The event acts as an international forum for Muslims and advocates of freedom globally to demonstrate unity with the Palestinian population and denounce the Israeli government’s occupation of Palestinian territories and its violent actions against Palestinians.

**Iranian Military Vows Continued Resistance Until Elimination of Zionist Regime**

Iran’s armed forces have reiterated their commitment to ongoing resistance efforts, declaring that their struggle will persist until the complete dissolution of the Zionist regime.

In alignment with the president’s views, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic issued a call to action, encouraging all free nations, particularly those in the Muslim community, to engage actively in Quds Day observances.

The statement underscored the day’s importance as a symbol of defiance against global oppression, emphasizing the alleged atrocities being perpetrated by the Zionist regime against the peoples of the region.

The statement declared that International Quds Day marks the occasion when free nations and Muslims worldwide unite to protest against the oppression, tyranny, and perceived injustices perpetrated by the Zionist regime and its allies.

The statement further emphasized that the day, originating from the visionary leadership of Imam Khomeini, has become a symbol of resistance against global dominance spearheaded by the United States, and the numerous alleged offenses committed by what it described as the “unrelenting, child-killing Zionist regime.”

The General Staff has called upon the international community to denounce what it describes as inhumane acts, genocide, and other aggressive actions perpetrated by the “illegitimate regime” and its allies, with a particular emphasis on the United States.

The statement emphasized that the Palestinian people stand united and committed to continuing their resistance efforts until the holy city of al-Quds is liberated from Israeli control and the “Zionist regime” is dismantled.

In a significant related development, Brigadier General Esmaeil Qa’ani, who leads the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), reiterated Iran’s steadfast dedication to supporting the Palestinian struggle for liberation from Israeli occupation and aggression.

In a speech delivered during the “Manbar al-Quds” program, a platform that spotlighted addresses from numerous resistance leaders to commemorate Quds Day, Qa’ani emphasized the unwavering support of the Islamic Republic for resistance groups. This backing, he noted, manifests through both direct assistance and military initiatives, including operations like “The True Promise.”

He praised the 2023 Operation al-Aqsa Storm, conducted by Hamas along with other resistance movements based in the Gaza Strip, characterizing it as “a blend of military engagement and popular resistance.” He emphasized it as a novel demonstration of solidarity among different resistance fronts.

An Iranian official has affirmed the nation’s ongoing commitment to providing support until what they describe as the ultimate goal of “liberating al-Quds” is realized.

Hamas has underscored the Palestinian rejection of initiatives by Israel and the United States aimed at forcibly displacing Palestinians from Gaza. The statement comes as Israel continues its military operations in the region, a conflict that has intensified since October 2023.

The group unequivocally announced, “There will be no migration except to al-Quds,” emphasizing the resilience of the Palestinian people in their homeland and their resolve to resist any form of forced or voluntary displacement.
