The Syrian army continued its advances in Idlib in the Northwestern parts of the Muslim country and regained control over many strategic regions in the province.
The army units made major advances in the Southern parts of Idlib countryside, specially in Khan Sheikhoun.

Khan Sheikoun is strategically important because the terrorists’ supply routes from Turkey pass through there.

Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian army killed tens of militants in fierce clashes in Idlib.

At least 30 terrorists who intended to attack a military post in the Southwestern parts of Idlib were killed in an army ambush in the province on Saturday.

On Wednesday, the Syrian Army stormed the hideouts of terrorists and foreign-backed rebels in Idlib province, inflicting massive losses on them.

The army soldiers claimed the lives of large members of Jund al-Aqsa terrorist organization in the towns of Koureen and Bkfaloun in Idlib, destroying two of their vehicles equipped with heavy machine-guns.

Too many non-Syrian terrorists were also killed during the operations.

Elsewhere, the Syrian Kurdish fighters retook a hill near Kobani from the ISIL Takfiri terrorists, inflicting heavy losses on them.

The hill to the West of the town was retaken overnight on Thursday, Aljazeerah reported.

According to the reports, the hill was lost to the ISIL terrorist group on October 22, but was retaken in clashes overnight.

Meantime, the Kurdish fighters continued repelling the ISIL attacks in Kobani, killing a large number of terrorists.

The Syrian army also killed a number of the ISIL terrorists in Howeijet al-Sakr in Deir Ezzor, repelling their infiltration attempts.

Kobani, Syria’s largest Kurdish city has seen intense battles over the past months, as ISIL terrorists are trying to seize the city due to its strategic location.

Meantime, the Syrian troops and the foreign-backed terrorists engaged in heavy clashes near the city of Douma in Damascus countryside.

The extent of clashes between the army and militants was such that the residents of Damascus could hear the exchange of fire between them.

Syria has been experiencing unrest since March 2011 with organized attacks by well-armed gangs and terrorists against both the army and civilians.

The unrest, which took in terrorist groups from across Europe, the Middle-East and North Africa, has transpired as one of the bloodiest conflicts in recent history.

As the foreign-backed insurgency in Syria continues without an end in sight, the US government has boosted its political and military support to Takfiri extremists.
