Protesters from various parts of the occupied territories gathered in Quds today to voice their opposition to the renewed hostilities in Gaza and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s efforts to dismiss Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar, according to a report by the Times of Israel.
Activists spearheading the march carried a prominent banner emblazoned with the message: “Enough of the government of destruction,” as they advanced along Ben Zvi Boulevard towards the Rehavia neighborhood.
Authorities have implemented a temporary closure of the roadway in one direction, while vehicles traveling in the opposite direction remain at a complete standstill due to a demonstration.
The Times reported that law enforcement officers deployed a water cannon in response to the protest, though it has yet to be utilized against demonstrators.
Experts have issued warnings, stating that the renewed campaign of violence against Gaza could amount to a death sentence for those held captive.
