Qatari PM: Persian Gulf countries could face a water shortage in 3 days in the event of an attack on Iran’s nuclear facilities
The Prime Minister of Qatar has issued a stark warning, stating that Qatar, alongside other Persian Gulf Arab nations, could face a critical shortage of water within just three days should Iran's nuclear sites come under attack by either the United States or Israel.

During an interview conducted on Friday with American political commentator and presenter Tucker Carlson, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani shared his remarks.
When questioned about the potential consequences for the body of water situated between Iran and Qatar in the event of an attack on the Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant in southern Iran, Sheikh Mohammed Al Thani warned of an impending “environmental catastrophe,” citing the severe water contamination that could ensue.
He stated that if contamination were to occur, it would essentially render the water supply entirely compromised, leading to a nationwide water shortage within three days. He emphasized that this scenario is not exclusive to Qatar but extends to Kuwait, the UAE, and other nations in the region.
In a separate segment of the interview, the Qatari Prime Minister acknowledged that Qatar had engaged in a prolonged 14-year conflict against Iran in Syria. However, he stressed that despite these disagreements, Qatar and Iran continue to uphold bilateral relations.
Sheikh Mohammed Al Thani disclosed that a U.S. congressman had advised him to sever diplomatic relations with Tehran. In response, Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the impracticality of such a suggestion, noting that he had to provide a geographic explanation for the Americans, highlighting the proximity between Qatar and Iran.
Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, recently issued a warning regarding the severe repercussions that could ensue should there be any aggressive actions by Israel or the United States targeting Iran’s nuclear installations.
Araghchi stated that he presumes a potential assault on the Islamic Republic’s nuclear installations would likely trigger a large-scale regional conflict, resulting in a disaster that neither regional nor international stakeholders desire.
Iran has initiated retaliatory measures on two occasions, specifically through Operations True Promise I and II, in reaction to what it perceives as Israeli aggression. These operations involved the successful targeting of critical Israeli sites deep within the occupied Palestinian territories, using an extensive arsenal of ballistic and cruise missiles.
