Zionist Israeli forces have abducted six Palestinians, including two minors, during fresh raids on several homes across the occupied West Bank.

According to local sources, the arrests were made in the cities of Nablus and al-Khalil (Hebron) on Sunday.

Among the detainees were a university student identified as Laith Asafreh from the town of Beit Kahil and Awni Abu Shmsyeh, 16, who was arrested in central al-Khalil.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Awad, the coordinator of the popular anti-settlement committee, said that Israeli forces stormed the town of Beit Ummar and detained two Palestinians aged 17 and 20.

Two other detainees were also arrested in the village of Awarta south of Nablus.

Israeli forces routinely abduct Palestinians in the West Bank and put them behind bars based on the so-called administrative detention, which allows the regime to imprison Palestinians without charge or trial for months or years.

Over 7,000 Palestinians are reportedly incarcerated in 17 Israeli prisons and detention camps.

The Palestinian Prisoner’s Center for Studies (PPCS) says administrative detention orders in the first three months of 2015 have witnessed a sharp increase over the similar period in 2014.

According to the PPCS, Israeli forces have arrested 78 Palestinian females, including minors, in the first quarter of 2015.
