Rafsanjani urges participation in Qods Day rallies

Ayatollah Akbar Hashemi Rafsanjani issued a Communiqué Monday calling on Muslim and non-Muslim nations, particularly Iranians in all cities and villages to participate at Int’l Qods Day rallies as an “eternal awareness call for intentionally-ignorant groups”.

In the communiqué that was published on Monday evening, Ayatollah Hashemi Rafsanjani refers to the world capitalists’ taking advantage of the ignorance and discord prevailing among the Muslims, in order to commit even greater crimes against the Palestinians.

He reiterates, “I fear lest God forbid, the wise move of the sagacious old man of this revolution, who once called the Qods Day the day for the alertness of Islam, would be forgotten in the chaos of these quarrels and the foundations of the plots hatched by the enemies would be further strengthened.”

Rafsanjani adds, “In that case the enemy’s dream of many years, of erasing the Islamic identity of Beit-ul-Muqaddas (the Holy Qods Mosque) that was once the first Qibla (direction towards which the Muslims
pray) would come true.”
