Dozens of terrorists killed near Damascus

Syrian army soldiers have killed dozens of foreign-sponsored terrorists during mop-up operations on the outskirts of the capital Damascus.

The official SANA news agency reported that on Friday, a number of insurgents were killed during intense clashes with Syrian troops in the village of Jobar, located 2 kilometers (1.2 miles) northeast of Damascus.
A terrorist hideout was raided by the Syrian forces in al-Ryhan farms in the eastern Ghouta area. Dozens of foreign-backed gunmen were killed in the process.
In addition, government forces engaged foreign-backed terrorists in the al-Atiba area, and killed scores of them.
A number of vehicles used by terrorists were also destroyed, and a large amount of weapons and munitions, including a 125-millimeter caliber cannon, was also seized after the fierce gun battle.
Meanwhile, Syrian troops clashed with insurgents in the city of al-Nabk, located 81 kilometers (50 miles) north of Damascus. Dozens of gunmen were killed and wounded during the heavy clashes.
Syrian troops stormed a terrorist hideout in the town of al-Ziyabiya, and shot dead scores of insurgents.
Syrian soldiers also engaged in heavy clashes with armed men in the towns of al-Husseiniya and Darayya, and killed scores of them.
