President Rouhani hopes Muslims honor peace in Ramadan

President Hassan Rouhani said on Saturday that he hoped Muslim world will honor peace and calm, to take advantage of the blessings of auspicious fasting month of Ramadan.

In a message to the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Iyad Madani, President Rouhani congratulated him on the holy monthˈs advent and said, “I hope, the lofty aspirations of Islam and tradition of the Great Prophet (PBUH), the Muslim World would move in line with perfection, prosperity, peace, tranquility, brotherhood and friendship so that the call for unity of Muslims would strengthen the belief for elimination of violence and extremism, driving extremism to isolation and peace and unity will prevail all over the Muslim World.”

“I plead to God Almighty to bestow health and success upon your Excellency and prosperity and progress of the Muslim Ummah in light of the virtues of the holy month,” he underlined.
