Religious proximity is a precursor for unity’: Lebanese cleric

Head of the Board of Trustees for Lebanon Religious Clerics Assembly, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Zayyen in an exclusive interview with Taqrib News Agency (TNA), on the sideline of the international Conference of Islamic World Scholars in Defense of Palestine Resistance, which was recently held in Iran Capital city of Tehran stressed the necessity of solidarity and rapprochement among clerics from different Islamic denominations and sects.

The Lebanese cleric underscored rapprochement and religious proximity are precursor for unity in the Islamic countries.

Sheikh Ahmad Al-Zayyen appreciated The World Forum for proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thoughts for mounting the international Conference of Islamic World Scholars in Defense of Palestine Resistance and underlined supporting Islamic Resistance is one of the axioms of religious proximity.

The Lebanese cleric underscored the role of religious clerics and scholars in upholding unity and rapprochement among Muslims and supporting oppressed Palestinian nation and underscored, “forming the union of religious clerics in defence of resistance can be very influential in this regard. “

Head of the Board of Trustees for Lebanon Religious Clerics Assembly beckoned to the extension of Takfiri moves in Islamic World and underlined these moves are orchestrated by the regime of Zionism and the arrogant world including the U.S.

Needless to say, The World Forum for proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thoughts by the cooperation other organizations holds this gathering with more than 200 prominent religious clerics from 53 countries in attendance. In the conference five commission titled “Palestinian and Islamic Duty”, “Palestinian, Clerics and Elite Foundations”, “Islamic Resistance in the region: necessities and components”, “The Presence Challenges”, and “Territorial Integrity” were held.

In the event, Muslims are in a precarious situation, so they should be more aware than before.

They slammed Western predatory policies and stressed West’s plots precipitated the turmoil in the region. To them, west has not prerogative to preclude Muslims of their fundamental rights.

In their lines, Islamic scholars should prevent Muslims from plunging headlong into violence.

Clerics postulated that unity is a cure-all for all problems. It would be presumptuous of Muslims to festoon each other’s takes.
