Rokon-Abadi: Syrian People Want Reforms under President Assad’s Rule

The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Lebanon, Ghadanfar Rokon-Abadi, stressed that the will of the people cannot be brought down by force through foreign interference or meddling and dictation. “the Syrian people want to conduct reforms in their country under the leadership of President Bashar al-Assad,” he noted, adding “such a will cannot be brought down by force.”

Rokon-Abadi’s comments came during a meeting with Lebanese MP Suleiman Franjieh, where the two sides discussed the latest domestic, regional and international affairs.
