Rouhani Vows Revenge over ‘Coward’ Crime against IRGC Bus

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani condemned the deadly terrorist attack against the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) forces in the southeastern province of Sistan and Balouchestan, vowing the country will take harsh revenge against the US-backed terrorists.

“The main root of terrorism in our region is the US and Zionism, and unfortunately, some of the oil-rich countries in this region are also financial supporters of terrorists,” Rouhani told reporters in Tehran on Thursday before his departure for Russia’s Sochi.

“Such coward crimes will have no effect on the great Iranian nation’s resolve and they will continue to follow the same path they have chosen powerfully,” he stressed

“The Iranian people will never yield to the world powers,” he said, adding that the people have been facing mercenary terrorists since the victory of the 1979 Islamic Revolution.

“We will definitely take revenge for the blood of our martyrs” Rouhani went on to say.

On Wednesday, a terrorist attack killed 27 IRGC members and injured 13 others as they were traveling between the cities of Zahedan and Khash, in Sistan and Balouchestan.
