Hezbollah Urges Lebanese State to Respond as Patience Wears Thin After Last Dahiyeh Attack

On Tuesday, Hezbollah representatives condemned the Israeli military actions targeting Dahiyeh, a southern suburb of Beirut.

On Tuesday, Hezbollah officials condemned what they described as Israeli aggression on the southern suburb of Beirut, known as Dahiyeh. They issued a warning, asserting that the resistance group has fully recuperated in the aftermath of the intense 66-day conflict in Lebanon.

In statements broadcast by Al-Manar, Member of Hezbollah’s Loyalty to Resistance parliamentary bloc, MP Ibrahim Al-Moussawi, characterized the early morning attack as “a serious aggression and a transition to a new phase.”

A lawmaker has attributed full responsibility for the aggression to the United States, urging the Lebanese Government and Presidency to take decisive action at the highest level and demand accountability from the international community.

In further statements released on his X account, MP Al-Moussawi responded to Israeli assertions regarding the targeted building, dismissing them as claims that it housed Hezbollah headquarters.

Israel’s Foreign Minister has stated that military forces conducted a targeted operation against Hezbollah’s headquarters located in Dahiyeh at dawn. Contrarily, reports from local sources assert that the operation actually hit residential buildings, housing civilians. The global community observed these events unfold live, casting doubts on the accuracy of the initial claims.

Hezbollah Member of Parliament Ali Ammar has stated that by engaging in such attacks, “the Israeli enemy tarnishes the reputation of the international community.”

Hezbollah has demonstrated considerable restraint, but its patience is not unlimited, the group warned in comments broadcast by Al-Manar. The statement emphasized that the resistance organization has regained its full strength in the aftermath of the recent Israeli conflict in Lebanon.

In the early hours of Tuesday, an Israeli airstrike on a residential building in the Moawwad neighborhood of Dahiyeh resulted in the deaths of at least four individuals and left seven others injured, according to local media sources. The attack primarily affected the upper three floors of the building and also inflicted material damage on the surrounding area.
