Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, head of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq (ISCI), has stressed that Iraq is opening up to neighboring countries and nations in a way that deeppens and strengthens the bilateral relations and joint interests.
This came up when His Eminence welcomed Mr. Muhammed Hussaini, the minister of culture in the Islamic Republic of Iran, at his Baghdad office on Tuesday, March 19, 2013.
During the meeting, a discussion went on of the cultural relations between both countries and the means to develop them. Suggestions were discussed which were presented for holding several conferences, intellectual and cultural seminars to commemorate senior Islamic personalities that have had a major impact on the culture and thinking of both neighboring countries, positively reflecting on enhancing the ties and cultural relations among the region’s nations and countries.
