Serbia Suspends Arms Exports to Israel Amid International Backlash Over Gaza Conflict
Serbia has halted all arms exports to Israel, taking an uncommon position within Europe against Tel Aviv's ongoing military operations in Gaza. This area has witnessed significant loss of life, predominantly among Palestinian women and children, amidst prolonged and US-supported hostilities.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić declared on Monday evening, after consultations with senior military figures, that Serbia will cease arms shipments to the Israeli regime.
The decision followed a wave of mass protests in Belgrade, with demonstrators spearheaded by the organization “Support for the People of Palestine – Serbia,” calling for an immediate cessation of military collaboration with Israel.
The halt in arms exports delivers a significant setback to the Zionist regime, which has heavily depended on Western and allied military assistance to conduct its operations affecting Gaza’s civilian populace.
In the early hours of Tuesday, Israeli warplanes launched another series of airstrikes targeting Palestinians awaiting food assistance, resulting in the deaths of at least 24 people and injuring many others. Among the affected sites was a residence in Gaza City’s Sabra neighborhood, where civil defense teams retrieved five bodies from the debris.
The injured and deceased were transported to the al-Shifa Medical Complex.
Medical personnel at al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat have reported the arrival of 19 bodies and 146 injured civilians following an Israeli strike on a food distribution site along Salah al-Din Street. Of those injured, 62 individuals were critically wounded and have been transferred for urgent medical attention.
Since October 7, 2023, the Israeli government has reportedly killed over 56,000 Palestinians, claiming self-defense, while receiving substantial financial and diplomatic support from the United States. The majority of victims are women and children, prompting numerous legal experts and human rights organizations to label the situation as a clear instance of genocide.
In reaction to the reported atrocities, the International Criminal Court has issued arrest warrants for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant, citing charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity.
Israel is currently facing proceedings at the International Court of Justice regarding allegations of genocidal actions in Gaza. Despite this, the nation continues to receive political immunity from Washington and its NATO allies.
