At least 12 civilians were killed or wounded in a US-led coalition airstrike on a village North of ISIL’s stronghold city of Raqqa in Northeastern Syria, reports said.

Al-Mayadeen TV channel reported that the coalition fighter jets targeted al-Rahiyat village North of Raqqa, killing at least four local residents and wounding eight more.

The airstrike came less than a week after over ten civilians were killed in a similar raid by the US-led coalition on a makeshift camp of the displaced people who had fled an ISIL-held town North of Raqqa.

Syrian state news agency, SANA said the US-led coalition fighter jets bombed the tents erected for the civilians who have just escaped from the ISIL-held town of Hazimeh and at least 10 people lost their lives in the aerial attacks.

Earlier this month, over 17 civilians also lost their lives and many more were wounded in a series of separate air attacks by the US-led coalition and Turkish Air Force in the two Syrian provinces of Raqqa and Aleppo.
