Six children in Gaza, among them a newborn girl, tragically succumbed to freezing temperatures as zionist regime continues to block the entry of humanitarian aid
In Gaza, a number of Palestinian children, among them a newborn girl, have succumbed to harsh winter conditions. This tragic development comes as Israel faces allegations of intentionally hindering or blocking the passage of essential supplies, such as tents and mobile homes, into the region.

Local health authorities in Gaza reported that at least six children succumbed to hypothermia overnight. Among the victims was a newborn baby girl named Sham, who was only a few days old.
According to reports, five children passed away at the Friends of the Patient Hospital located in the Remal neighborhood of Gaza City. Additionally, a sixth child tragically died due to harsh winter conditions in the southern city of Khan Younis.
In Gaza, tens of thousands of Palestinians find themselves residing in temporary tents set upon the remnants of their demolished homes, as temperatures in the region dip to a chilly 6 degrees Celsius during this season.
In a recent statement, Hamas attributed the deaths of children to what it described as Israel’s “criminal policies.” The group criticized Israel for blocking the access of humanitarian aid and essential shelter materials, affecting more than two million residents in the region.
The report highlighted the deaths of the children, emphasizing that these tragic events occurred amid the international community’s ongoing silence regarding the unprecedented humanitarian crisis in Gaza. This crisis, it stated, stems from the Israeli “aggression and siege.”
More than a month after a ceasefire agreement was put in place, Israel continues to impose significant restrictions on the entry of crucial supplies into the besieged territory. This includes prohibiting the delivery of essential items such as tents, mobile homes, and heavy machinery, which are vital for clearing debris and recovering bodies.
According to the terms of the ceasefire agreement, Israel is obligated to permit the entry of approximately 600 aid trucks daily into the blockaded Palestinian territory.
Hamas has urged Qatar and Egypt, acting as mediators, to swiftly intervene to halt what it describes as the regime’s breaches of the ceasefire agreement. The organization is calling for the enforcement of the humanitarian protocols linked to the agreement and for guarantees that essential supplies, including shelter, heating, and urgent medical aid, are allowed entry into Gaza.
Palestinian authorities have issued multiple warnings about the potential collapse of the Gaza ceasefire agreement. They accuse Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government of intentionally obstructing aid and reconstruction initiatives, a move they claim is designed to displace Palestinians from their territory.
