Syrian PM wants High Readiness to Provide Basic Needs to Citizens

20130507-172618_h481015 In a session chaired by Prime Minister, Dr. Wael al-Halqi, the Cabinet stressed on Tuesday that the Martyrs’ Day is a minaret for the coming generations in Syria.

The Cabinet saluted the armed forces and the internal security forces which offered more sacrifices and martyrs for the homeland to remain proud and dignified.

The Prime Minister reviewed the economic and political situation, hailing the advancements of the Syrian Army in pursuing the armed terrorist groups.

Dr. al-Halqi stressed that the victory of the Syrian people against the conspiracy is inevitable, and those who are wagering on the collapse of the state and society of Syria are deluded as Syria is strong with its people and army and it will emerge out of the crisis soon thanks to the unity of the people and the army and the support of friends.

For his part, Governor of the Central Bank of Syria, Adib Mayaleh, reviewed the procedures made by the Bank to preserve the stability of the exchange rate of the Syrian pound.

He stressed that the Central Bank and the Monetary and Credit Council are able to face all economic confrontations, pointing out that there is a package of monetary and financial procedures to boost the stability of the Syrian pound.

The Cabinet approved the memorandum of the Social Affairs Ministry on the standards and commitments for choosing the associations which will distribute the financial grants given by the government.
