Syrian fighter jets on Saturday carried out several sorties over the ISIL terrorists’ positions in the Eastern province of Deir Ezzur, destroying key facilities of militants in strategic regions.

The ISIL Takfiri militants’ concentration centers in Hatla and al-Marya’iv villages came under strikes of the Syrian air force, in which many military vehicles of the ISIL were destroyed.

In the meantime, one of the ammunition depots of the ISIL also was also destroyed in the air attacks.

Sources said on Friday that the Syrian Army and the country’s fighter jets, in a joint counter-assault, fended off the ISIL terrorists’ attack on the strategic Deir Ezzur airbase, leaving at least 25 militants dead or many more wounded.

The Syrian war plane targeted the ISIL combatants’ military vehicles near Deir Ezzur airbase this morning and played key role in pushing them back from the surroundings of the airbase.

The airbase defenders, for their part, carried out a rapid counter-attack after the Syrian fighter jets pounded the ISIL military column, and killed nearly 25 militants.

The pro-government forces also retook control over more areas after their successful counter-attack near Deir Ezzur airbase.
