PA releases leader Khader Adnan after protests over his arrest

PA’s security services was forced to release the leader of the Jihad Movement Khader Adnan, hours after his arrest following his protest against the policy of the arbitrary political detention against activists.

Palestinian intelligence elements raided on Wednesday the house of Sheikh Khader’s cousin Farouk Moussa to arrest him, when the Jihad Movement leader intervened; stressing that such actions serve only the occupation.

Local sources said that both Khader Adnan and his cousin Farouk were arrested and transferred to the Palestinian intelligence headquarters.

Sheikh Adnan stressed after his release on his continued rejection of the policy of political detention, adding that he will continue to express his position that rejects the repression of freedoms and the detention of activists and ex-captives.
