Boroujerdi: “Alien forces destabilizing Afghanistan”

Head of Majlis Commission on National Security and Foreign Policy Alaeddin Boroujerdi said on Wednesday that continued presence of aliens destabilized Afghanistan.

According to IRNA, Boroujerdi made the remarks in a meeting with the Leader of the Islamic Unity Party of the People of Afghanistan (Hizb-e Wahdat-e Islami-e Mardom-e Afghanistan) Mohammad Mohaqiq in Tehran.
Referring to historical, cultural and religious affinities between the two nations, Boroujerdi said the Islamic Republic of Iran has always backed the Afghan nation in all ups and downs in the past three decades and hosted millions of Afghan refugees.
Given the invaluable experience of Iranian Majlis over half a century, he said there is good ground for expansion of broad-based parliamentary relations and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Leader of the Islamic Unity Party of the People of Afghanistan, for his part, referred to longstanding cultural and religious ties and called for benefiting from each others’ capabilities to broadening economic cooperation.
He thanked Iran for rendering services to rebuild Afghanistan and humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.
