Spokesperson confirms the safety of Iran’s envoy and embassy personnel stationed in Syria

According to a statement from the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson, the ambassador and personnel stationed at the Iranian Embassy in Damascus have been confirmed safe following the collapse of the Syrian government.

On Sunday, Esmaeil Baqaei confirmed that appropriate measures have been implemented to safeguard the staff at the Iranian embassy in Damascus.

He stated that both the ambassador and the embassy staff are in good health.

In response to reports concerning a breach at the Iranian embassy in Damascus, Baqaei strongly denounced the incident, emphasizing that safeguarding the security and integrity of diplomatic and consular premises is a core tenet of international law and relations that must be upheld at all times.

The spokesperson for the Islamic Republic of Iran announced that the nation has communicated with key stakeholders involved in Syria’s affairs, urging them to prevent further violations. Iran has issued warnings about the situation and called for measures to ensure such transgressions do not occur again.
