Sectarian Wars: Dreams Come True for Israel

They say in order to make dreams come into reality, it takes an awful lot of determination, dedication, self-discipline, and effort. Not for Israel.

The usurper regime continues to steal Palestinian lands and it doesn’t need to take any effort at all. According to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, the ongoing sectarian and tribal wars are helping Tel Aviv to do just that. In his words, the ongoing wars on Syria, Iraq and Yemen have been imposed to deflect Muslims’ attention away from the atrocities of Israel.

More specifically: “Were the Islamic Ummah united and relied on their commonalities, they would certainly be a unique power on the international political scene, yet major powers have imposed such divisions on the Islamic Ummah to pursue their own interests and safeguard the Zionist regime (of Israel).”

Meaning, it is because of certain incompetent officials in the Middle East as well as US proxy regime’s spawns al-Qaeda and ISIL that Israel – carved out of stolen land – is still able to steal even more Palestinian lands in broad daylight. Just for the record, on March 15, the usurper regime announced on Army Radio that they have “appropriated” a large tract of Palestinian land in the occupied West Bank, confiscating some 579 acres (2.3 square kilometres), which NGO Peace Now refers to as the largest single confiscation of territory in years.

True, UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has condemned the move as illegal, and urged Israel to immediately reverse the seizure of Palestinian territory in the interest of a comprehensive peace deal. Likewise, US officials have said the seizure is “fundamentally undermining” the peace process. But that’s all really. As always, even if Ban calls for an anti-Israel resolution at the UN Security Council, it will be vetoed by Washington. Because, why not?

In addition, the stolen lands will never be returned to their rightful owners, not today, not tomorrow, not ever. The world community, particularly the Muslim world, will not do anything about it either. After all, their attention is too much focused on Syria and Yemen to pay any attention to the Israeli atrocities in occupied Palestine. More deteriorating is that a part of the Middle East is hell-bent on ousting the Syrian government just because it resists the Israeli regime. These states that happen to be US allies have further declared the Lebanese Hezbollah resistance group a “terrorist group”, which, by the way, has joined forces with Iran and Russia in the ongoing battle against terrorism and extremism in Syria.

The powerful reality is that Israel wants the twin wars of attrition in Syria and Yemen to continue. This way it can force the Palestinians and other Arab civilians to give in, accept Israeli occupation, and stop supporting Hezbollah – Israel’s most potent adversary – in any form, whether armed or unarmed.

Another reality is that Israel is working very hard to prevent any peace deal in Syria. To this end, it continues to pour petrol on the fires in the war-torn country by supporting the terrorist groups in the Golan Heights – even including the al-Qaeda and the ISIL. Israel is doing the same in Yemen. This helps prolong the twin wars and turn away the guns from Israel. The chaos of the war also provides a cover which helps Israel to assassinate its enemies in Syria and Lebanon, all while stealing more Palestinian lands with great impunity and no international backlash.

It is past time for the Muslim world to wake up, come together, and end the unnecessary conflicts in Syria and Yemen. It is the only way to strengthen the resistance front and save the region from further violence and terror. This does not give Israel and its expansionist policy many options; if anything, it actively shuts them down.
