Hezbollah Ambushes Jabhat Al-Nusra in Jaroud Arsal

Hezbollah has struck again; this time, they caught a group of militants from the Syrian Al-Qaeda group “Jabhat Al-Nusra” traveling along a seasonal road in the Wadi Al-Khayl region of the Arsal Barrens, killing 2 enemy combatants and injuring 5 others from the aforementioned Islamist group.

As a result of their Summer offensive in the Qalamoun and Zabadani Mountains of rural Damascus, Hezbollah was able to take control of almost the entire Syrian-Lebanese border, leaving only Jaroud Qarah and Jaroud Rankous under Jabhat Al-Nusra and the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham’s control.

With most of the Lebanese border under their control, Hezbollah has successfully weakened both Jabhat Al-Nusra and ISIS in Lebanon, while also trapping them in the vast Qalamoun Mountains of rural Damascus.
