Syria Claims No Current Demand for israel’s Return of Occupied Golan Heights
Syria is reportedly not calling for the return of sections of the Golan Heights, which Israel occupied in 1967, according to media sources on Monday.

According to reports from the Lebanese news outlet LBCI, Syria is currently engaging in talks regarding a security agreement without insisting on the return of territories in the Golan Heights, which Israel captured in 1967.
According to the report, which references unnamed sources, Syria is insisting that Israel acknowledge the new administration in Syria, led by Ahmad al-Sharaa, and pull back from territories it has occupied in southern Syria since January.
Syria is seeking explicit security agreements in the southern region and the border area encompassing Jordan, Syria, and Israel. The request also includes support from the United States, although the specifics of this assistance are yet to be determined.
The Golan Heights, a region under Israeli control, remains unrecognized by the majority of the international community, with the notable exception of the United States.
