The Syrian city of Homs is returning to a normal condition after foreign-backed militants evacuated the city under a deal with the government.
According to Press TV citing the report on Sunday, thousands of people marched toward the western city as the Syrian army units combed the streets and residential apartments which had turned into headquarters for the militants.
Before withdrawing from Homs, foreign-backed militants had fortified themselves in the old neighborhoods of the city.
The report said that the militants had created tunnels that stretched tens of meters and linked all neighborhoods in the city. They used the tunnels as a safe haven when Syrian army targeted their positions.
