The Syrian army regained control of a strategic hill in Homs countryside in the Central parts of Syria.
The foreign-backed militants were pushed back from Toledo hills and its surrounding areas near Qayee tower where several power stations are located.

The army also killed tens of militants and injured dozens more in Tal Al-Bado, Tal Abu Al-Sanasel and Um Sharshouh regions in Homs countryside.

Also in the past 24 hours, the Syrian army regained control of Al-Tim oilfield in Deir Ezzur in the Eastern parts of the country.

Meantime, the Syrian air force attacked the gathering centers of the Takfiri Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in Al-Mouhsen city in Eastern Deir Ezzur.

Also, the Syrian army killed a notorious leader of the ISIL terrorist group in Deir Ezzur countryside.

Abu Dajaneh Al-Qazbiri, the ISIL commander in Eastern Syria, was killed in fierce clashes with the Syrian army in Deir Ezzur countryside.

Meantime, the Syrian army killed the ISIL group leaders in al-Hwaika, al-Rushdieh, al-Ardi, al-Sina’a and al-Jbaileh in Deir Ezuur, and destroyed their weaponry and ammunition.

Two notorious terrorist leaders, Hamza al-Afin and Nazir al-Hassan, have been identified among the dead.

“Terrorists Abu Asaad al-Jaezrawi from Saudi Arabia, Abu Azzam from Iraq, Abu Jihad from Belgium and Abu Mohsen from Tunis were identified among the dead,” a military source said.

Meantime, the Syrian army continued its mop-up operations against the foreign-backed militants in the Western countryside of Daraa province, especially between Daraa and al-Yadouda, and gained control over the supply line used by militants coming from Jordan to Quneitra.

The new advance made the army 1,300 meters away from the areas of al-Yadouda, al-Mizireeb and Kharab al-Shahm.

A field commander said that the army made new defense lines in the area with the aim of protecting the locals in al-Yarmouk and al-Basel suburbs, whose population is over 50,000.

He said that the militants’ repeated failures to enter Daraa city caused them to focus on these suburbs, but the army continues to repel any attempt by then to enter the city or attack its people.

The officer said that militants made no less than 17 attempts to attack the area from the direction of al-Yadouda, all of which were foiled, and that dozens of infiltration attempts made from the Jordanian territories were also thwarted, adding that the army has full control over the areas of Wadi al-Zaidi and Talat al-Thaela, putting Talat al-Bajbouj area under the army’s firing range.

He noted that prior to establishing the new defense lines, the militants had been attacking the aforementioned suburbs from al-Yadouda, Wadi al-Zaidi, and Tafas, and now they can no longer do that.

The officer said that the army is working to cut off other supply lines used by militants to move between Syria and Jordan.
